What's Next?

Hi Everyone! It has been quite awhile since I have written a blog post...over 3 years! If you pay attention to this blog at all, we are probably friends or family and you most likely know all of our major life updates, but just in case, since July 2016 I (we):

- Got pregnant

- Had a miscarriage

- Got pregnant again

- Graduated with my PhD in Human Development and Family Science

- Had a beautiful baby boy who is already two-and-a-half 

- Started my first full time job as a postdoctoral research associate

- Started going to a new church that we're absolutely in love with
- Sold our first house and moved 5 minutes away to a new house
- Turned 30 😨

Through all of these crazy events, God has been teaching me so many amazing things about trust, parenting, marriage, grief, prayer, faith, rest, and...Him. Last year, I felt God tugging on my heart to begin to share some of these things to more than just my tight circle of friends and family. I've been putting it off because the Internet is a scary place with a lot of mean people, and to be honest, I don't love conflict and I especially don't like hateful conflict, which is what I see so much of when I scroll. Nevertheless, that tug has not gone away, so here I am in my little corner of the Internet, sharing what God lays on my heart.

If you're here for it, I hope you'll reach out to me and share what God is teaching you too. I'm thankful you're here and even if we're strangers, I pray that these words speak hope and life to you.
